Gloria Stuart ‘Titanic’ Star Dies At 100

Gloria Stuart, Titanic star, who had played the role of the old ‘Rose’ in the movie, died at the age of 100. Gloria had become famous as she played the older character of ‘Rose’ in the movie Titanic, in which Kate Winslet played the character of the younger Rose. Gloria Stuart died at her residence in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday.

Gloria Stuart’s daughter, Sylvia Thompson stated, that her mother was diagnosed with Lung cancer a few years ago. Mrs. Stuart was born in Santa Monica, California and did her education at the University of California in Berkeley. She had done a number of successful movies in her career, which include, Invisible Man and Roman Scandals.

It was until Titanic in the year 1997, where she had received he last success, and she was nominated for the Academy Awards. It was a record for her, as she became the oldest person to be nominated at the Academy awards for her role. Truly, she became a legend after she appeared in Titanic, she was at her best, and it was a life time opportunity to watch Mrs. Stuart in the role of Rose in movie Titanic. She will be engraved in the hearts of many for her extravagant role and performance. We shall miss he indeed.
