Phil Collins Back On Top Of The Album Chart After 12 Years, With Latest Album ‘Going Back’

British Singer and Song Writer, Phil Collins is back on top of the album chart, for the first time in 12 years, with his Album ‘Going Back’. The famous English singer was out of the music scene for some years though, as his last album was ‘Testify’ back in the year 2002. After an eight years pause in the music industry, Phil is back with a bang, and his latest album is doing way better than ever.

Going Back was placed at no. 4 last week on the charts, but this week it suddenly broke the roof and surged to the top of the list. Phil’s latest album surpassed Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers’ Postcards From A Young Man, as their album goes down to the third spot.

We can say that it could be a massive coincident that both the Manic Street Preachers and Phil Collins had their last no.1 spot in the year 1998. Phil has been singing since 1967, and he sough fame when he was in the band ‘Genesis’, in which he has sung some memorable singles that we have known.
