Robert Lizzo Bell city Manager, and eight of his officials have been arrested on charges of corruption with Public Funds. The group of officials of Bell were arrested for misappropriation of $5.5 million of Public Funds. Bell’s manager, Robert Rizzo is into a really big legal slump, as he is facing some 53 counts of misappropriation of public funds and conflict of interest.
Along will Rizzo, his accomplices include, Angela Spaccia, former assistant city manager; Mayor Oscar Hernandez; councilmembers George Mirabal, Teresa Jacobo and Luis Artiga; and former councilmembers George Cole and Victor Bello. It was only after Rizzo’s high salary hike where it sparked an outrage and eventually an investigation had to be called in.
Robert Rizzo was arrested at his luxury home in Huntington Beach, at around 10.00 am. People of Bell, stated that it was a really sad day in the city’s history, and that it was unbelievable that something like this could have happened.
