Bharti Mobiles is planning to introduce multimedia handsets by the end of this financial year. Beetel Teletech Limited, a company with Bharti Group is in the process of making reasonable handsets that will be priced from Rs 1,750 – Rs 7,000. The phones are going to be very rich as far as features are concerned.
The CEO of Beetle Teletech, Vinod Sawhny said, “Phones in the price range of Rs 2,000-6,000 are witnessing 30 percent growth and we plan to offer a good combination of feature-rich phones at affordable prices.”
Beetel has scheduled to launch eight various handsets that will have support features like dual SIM, FM and camera. The company will also bring in a gaming phone with QWERTY keypad, a triple SIM (GSM+GSM+CDMA), phone with a full movie and a 3G supporting phone.
Sawhney said that Beetle mobiles will not be limited to Airtel but will be for all network providers. He said, “We shall be talking to all the GSM players for bundling our handsets and it will not be restricted to only the group’s flagship company.”
