Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic to grab his first US Open title in his tennis career. This title is the ninth major title in his list of major wins. Nadal beat Djokovic 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, and it was a worth match to watch, as both the players were at the best and were passing flamboyant shorts of the ball.
Rafael seemed to see his first US title after the exit of Roger Federer from the semi finals of the US Open 2010. Rafael, 24, today holds nine major titles under his belt and he is more than halfway in terms of titles against Roger Federer. Federer has a total of 16 title that he has earned in his tennis career.
Rafael spoke that he was very eager to hold the title in his hand, and that which is something that he has done for the first time in his life. Djokovic on the other hand accepted that Nadal is indeed a very good player, in fact the best that he has faced on the court ever.
