It has been revealed that The Stig of Top Gear is actually race car driver, Ben Collins. And he has been in some court trouble these days, and the court has refused to ban his book, which clearly identifies who The Stig is. BBC had slammed a case on him, for revealing the identity of The Stig, and for this they were seeking injunction on the book through the court.
After the court made the decision, Ben was leaving and the media asked him whether he was The Stig, and replied that he will not be talking about this. In addition to this he was also asked whether he had the signature Stig helmet with him, he said that they are tempting him about something that he is not supposed to speak about.
Ben’s identity as The Stig surfaced when his financial reports had lots of references of BBC’s Top Gear. A spokesman from BBC said about the book, that the book will be breaking the confidentiality obligation of The Stig, and that the people who view the show like the mystery behind the Stig, so BBC feels that this anonymity should be protected.
