Mark David Chapman, the one who killed John Lennon has been denied Parole for the sixth in a row. He is jailed at the Attica Correction Facility in New York. His parole hearing was conducted by the three member panel via video conferencing. The official decision was taken that Chapman was not fit enough to be released from jail.
The member produced a written statement, which showed concerns over Chapman’s behavior and his still seen as a threat to the society. The group stated that “the disregard you (Chapman) displayed for the norms of our society and the sanctity of human life”.
John Lennon has spent almost 30 years now in prison and has been denied parole in 2000, 02,04,06,08. He will be eligible for parole the next time in the year 2012. Lennon has been charged for the murder of John Lennon, the member of the famed Beatles group, and his wife Yoko Ono.
