Drug lord from Mexico, Edgar Valdez Villarreal “La Barbie” has been ordered by the Mexican court to be held for 40 days, till the ongoing investigations and charges on him are complete. The US born drug lord, La Barbie, will be in the jail at the Mexico City police headquarters till the investigations are in progress.
On the other hand, by the time Valdez is locked up, it gives the Mexican authorities time to decide whether to deport him to the United States where he is wanted for Cocaine charges in three different states. Edgar’s attorney, will be filing a petition in the court, to let him be deported to the US for prosecution.
Edgar Valdez Villarreal, was born in Laredo, Texas in the United States, and was living in Mexico illegally for a long time. He was captured by the Mexican authorities, along with the help of the US intelligence, after almost a year’s pursuit, outside Mexico City along with his seven accomplices.
i think he should be trialed and serve his time first in united states, where his charges will be paid off for drug traffiking cocaine. because if valdez is kept in mexico he will escape or will be killed by the cartel’s that he ratted out through out his interagation with the mexican police there is many things people from united states dont know about what goes on in with the goverment and politics of mexico. Many things arent right over there, the civilians of mexico can tell you. Valdez is a powerful source to use to find the answers, valdez was not just used for drug traff. but also for homicides, and organized crimes. i think valdez should serve his time in the u.s…why? personal reasons
I belive “youngGee” might have a point. If the man is a US citizen. Let him do his time here in the states. I don’t think that Mexico can offer any justice to any one. We are talking about a third world county, so let’s just bring him to the US and let the hand of justice come down on him.
