Shoya Tomizwa GP Rider Dies In Horrific Crash In San Marino

Japanese GP Rider Shoyo Tomizawa died in a horrific crash in the San Marino race on Sunday. His death has shocked the whole GP and motorcycling world. Shoyo Tomizawa was only 19 at the time of his death. The crash occurred during the 11th lap of the Moto2 World Championship in San Marino, when Shoya was taking a fast right hand corner and went a bit wide, during which he lost the grip over his rear tyre.

The moment Shoya fell from his bike, he was hit by the other bikers from behind where he was fatally injured. The bikes which hit him were of Scott Redding and Alex De Angelis. His team took him to the circuit’s hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, and his death was announced after the end of the race.

It was a sad demise for a promising rider from Japan, as he was performing well during the season. MotoGP world Champion, Valentino Rossi, has shown his grief over Shoya’s death, and stated that his death is a very horrific incident in the world of GP. He added the Shoya was a very funny person, smiling all the time and good to everyone, it will be very hard to miss his presence during the races, as he had a bright future ahead of him.
