Krishna Janmashtami Festival 2010 Celebration In India, SMS And Greetings

The Janmashtami festival 2010 has been on of the most important festivals in the Hindu community in India and all over the world. Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated in India on the 2nd of September and it is declared a holiday on that day. Janmashtami is very special occasion for the people in India as they celebrate this festival in awe.

Krishna Janmashtami marks that birth of the lord Krishna, who had ended the atrocities of his Uncle Kansa. This is a festival that is celebrated all over India and specially in North India and Maharashtra. In Maharashtra people mark this festival by arranging the dahi handi event, in which people make a human pyramid and try to break the handi (pot) that has been kept on a high elevation.
