The latest tropical storm Fiona has started to show strong aggression and is on its way straight towards Trinidad and Tobago. The storm system has picked up pace and is moving steadily towards the Caribbean. It has now sustained wind speeds of 40 mph and will be passing by the Leeward Islands by Wednesday morning.

Fiona has arrived just a day after Hurricane Earl showed its retreat from the Caribbean. Hurricane Earl was a strong storm system and had wind speeds of 135 mph. The weather department has stated that Fiona is showing direct threat to Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada And its Dependencies.
On the other hand the whole of the West Indies is under the threat of the incoming Fiona, as it can develop later on and then cause credible damage to these Islands. Flights in these countries have been detained for the moment as the conditions are not suitable for flying, they will resume soon as the storm situation calms down.
