The United Nations is now worried about the children in Pakistan, as flood waters of the Indus River has already entered two south Pakistan towns. The main fear among the children is, malnutrition and disease. The floods have forced six million people, which include thousands of children with them, in Pakistan to move out of the flooded areas.
The floods waters have started to flow south of the country, is causing the situation to look grim. Some 1600 people have died due to the ongoing floods which has now lasted for a month. It will take billions of dollars worth of infrastructure repair and rebuilding in Pakistan.
Some 300000 people have moved out of the South town of Thatta, when the authorities told them about the flooding situation. Authorities need to act as quickly as possible, if not some 72000 children will be severely affected with malnutrition and water borne disease, which may also lead to death. Pakistan has now seen the worst natural disaster in decades.
