Chinese Official Meets India’s Ministry Of External Of Visa Denial Issue

The Chinese Ambassador in India, Zhang Yang met the Ministry Of External Affairs over the Visa denial issue. An Indian Army officer was denied visa to China after he had applied for one. The Chinese officials stated that he hailed from a very sensitive area of Jammu Kashimir.

Mr. Zhang met the joint secretary for China, Gautam Bambawala, and had a conversation over this issue. Lt. Gen. B.S. Jaswa, Commanding Officer Commander-In-Chief Udhampur base from Northern India, had applied for a visa to China, but it was stated by the Chinese officials that Jaswal hailed from a very sensitive part of Jammu and Kashmir, and that people from there come with a very different type of visa.

There was strong reaction from India, and specially in a moment when India and China are looking to strengthen their ties with each other. The India Ministry of External affairs has spoke to the Chinese Ambassador over the issue will like to sort it out as soon as possible.
