All Passengers Feared Dead In Nepal Plane Crash On Tuesday

The authorities state that all passengers could be feared dead in the small plane crash on the outskirts of the Nepal capital, Kathmandu. It seems that no one on board could be alive at the moment, as per the officials statement. The plane crashed in the early morning of Tuesday.

The accident took place when the small plane was returning to Kathmandu after it was unable to land in Lukla. Lukla is a popular tourist spot and is considered to be the entrance to Mount Everest. As the plane crashed it had 15 people on board which included six foreigners. For the moment the authorities did not disclose the nationality of the foreigners.

The plane which crashed was a small Agni passenger plane. There are some reports but they are not confirmed, stating that there were some survivors on board the plane. The local authorities have dispatched search and rescue operations, plus they have also sent an army helicopter into the region because it is remote and has hostile weather conditions.
