India has said that it will be giving its full support from its side towards the flood affected victims in Pakistan. Indian in the meeting in UN stated that it will help Pakistan and the UN in their efforts to help the victims of the flood. The floods in Pakistan have already dispersed 20 million people by the river Indus.
Apart from the $5 million aid that India has provided to Pakistan, India states that it will help Pakistan in any other way possible. Pakistan on Thursday showed a sign of respect by accepting the $5 Million provided by India. Pakistan has experienced the worst floods in almost 80 years.
20% of the Pakistani land mass is soaked underwater due to the floods, and more than 20 million people have been affected directly by these floods.US has contributed $150 million towards the flood victims and relief. The recent flooding has destroyed a lot of land and infrastructure of the country and will require billions of dollars worth of reconstruction.
