Bad news has showered over the situation in Pakistan, as UN on Tuesday stated that only a fraction of the people affected by the flood have managed to receive aid. The UN said that it has received only 35% of the $460 million that it was promised about for the flood aid.

The World Bank on the other hand has stated that it will be providing an additional $900 million as aid to Pakistan. The first $10 million will be sent for the provision of fuel, steel and cement, which will be used for the primary recovery from the flood. Conditions for the The World Food Program were not good either.
The Food Program stated that it is fighting against all odds to reach people who are trapped in the remote regions, as roads have been washed out. Food and access to these people is only possible through helicopter, and the food provided to these people will last only for a month. The three weeks of flooding in Pakistan has claimed more than 1600 lives and over 20 million people have been dispersed., the situation has worsened when the flood is not reaching their destinations of help.
