American basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has reportedly paid for the funeral of a 5-year-old Shaniya Davis. The North Carolina girl whose body was found last week after many days of her gone missing.
Sources say that Shaniya Davis, was kidnapped, raped and murdered and her body was then dumped on a roadside almost 30 miles from her hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was missing for almost 6 days and her funeral took place on Sunday and was given national coverage.
In a statement released by his team Cleveland Cavaliers, he said: “What happened to her was tragic. I wanted her to have a funeral that would be as beautiful as she was.”
The girl’s father, Bradley Lockhart said that he still has faith in God after the painful loss of his baby girl.
