It is considered the worst flooding in Pakistan since the past 80 years, and the total number of people who have been affected by the floods and the rains has tolled up to 20 million. The PM of Pakistan Mr. Gilani addressed the people that the total number of affected people is 20 million, was way higher than UN’s 14 million prediction.
The UN which has been stationed in the country has found one case of Cholera in the Swat valley due to the floods. Health workers have stepped up their pace and getting ready to fight any sort of epidemic that could let lose.
It is very sad to see 20 million people homeless and stranded due to the worst flooding in Pakistan. Relief efforts have been called in full swing but still there has been strong criticism over the relief efforts. The conditions in Pakistan are so worse, that there are still people in the flood affected region that have not yet been reached.
