There has been loads of panicky in the people in Delhi as the news of blast in Gurgaon was rumoured. Actually what people thought it to be a blast was actually a ‘mock drill’ that was conducted at the ‘DT Mega Mall’, Gurgaon. The mock drill was a part of checking on the security arrangements for the Independence Day.
A senior police official said, “More mock drills will be organised and before the onset of the Commonwealth Games we can see the level of preparedness. Currently, the city is on alert due to Independence Day.”
Hoax call was made at around 2 pm about a bomb in the mall and it worked out as it was observed that the mall was soon emptied by the police personnel.
The official also said that these kinds of mock drill will help in identifying the resources and equipments accessible in the district.
