The Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee of India has already been in the limelight of corruption charges and claims, and today the CWG OC Treasurer, Mr. Anil Khanna has resigned from his post after being allegedly accused, that his son’s firm had received the contract of paving synthetic courts at the tennis stadium in New Delhi, for the games.
A source from the Organizing Committee stated that the committee has put the allegation of Mr. Khanna in their papers, on the basis of moral grounds. Khanna resigned after the board meeting had taken place to look into the corruption charges placed on the committee.
Khanna’s decision to resign came up, when the board started to question the about the connection of his Son’s firm, ReBound Ace, and the court paving contract. There was a conflict between Khanna and the committee during the meeting, and subsequently he resigned.
