A popular film actor of 1980’s Ravi Baswani, took his last breath on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He passed away in Haldwani near Nainital while shooting for a film.
Ravi Baswani popularity started with the 1983 offbeat film ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ that rewarded him with a Filmfare Award in the Best Comedian category.

One of the close friend’s of Ravi, Ashok Pandit informed that cardiac attack caused his death. He said, “Ravi suffered a cardiac attack. By the time they could get medical aid in Haldwani, he had passed way. His death has come as a big shock.”
Ravi Baswani was planning to direct the film as well that he was shooting for in Shimla. The actor debuted in the film industry in the year 1981 with ‘Chashme Buddoor’, starring Deepti Naval and Farooq Sheikh which was directed by Sai Paranjpe.
The actor died at 64 years of age. His friends believe that Ravi was a very simple man with no addictions of smoking or drinking.
