The Indo – Pak leadership has been highly praised by the US Secretary of the State Hillary Clinton for their initiative to start with a refreshed mutual talks regarding the Kashmir issue.
Clinton informed that the United States is always ready to support the Indo-Pak talks as it would favour both the countries.
According to the sources, Clinton said, “I really give the leadership in both countries high marks because it is not popular. They are attacked in the press, they’re attacked by organizations. So there are many ramifications to the longstanding disputes over Kashmir and other issues between India and Pakistan. So even though the officials of both governments have been meeting, we want to encourage much more dialogue.”
She said that ex-President and husband Bill Clinton or she herself can be special US representative in regards of solving the matters of Kashmir, but in that case, India and Pakistan should give mutual consent and it has not happened as of now.
