Shrouded in allegations in the women’s hockey sex scandal, coach MK Kaushik has withdrawn from the team, and from all the upcoming tours. But on the other hand, videographer, Basavraj, has been sacked by the Indian hockey team, because his photographs with a prostitute has come in to light.
Hockey India President, Vidya Stokes, stated that the coach has to be questioned and also the girl who has accused of sexual harassment, for Mr. Kaushik has withdrawn himself, as he wants his name to be cleared. The HI would also be forming a five member committee, as per the order of the Supreme Court in context of Sexual Harassment guidelines.
Secretary General of HI, Narindra Batra, has stated that he had received an anonymous mail in which there has been direct allegations against Basavraj, of being involved with prostitutes on the tours of China and Canada. And talking about the punishments that Mr. Kaushik would be awarded, he stated, that he can be imposed with life time ban or even take the matter to the police and solve the issue logically.
