The Kendriya Vidyalaya is a product of Central Government and falls under the category of Ministry of Human Resource Development (India). Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools were initially known as ‘Central Schools’ and were started in the year 1965. The schools were started mainly for the children of the Indian Defense Services.
The motive behind starting up of Kendriya Vidyalaya that these children should not face any educational disadvantage due to the constant transfers of their parents. Hence, the syllabus is common in all the KV schools.
