The petition filed by Lalit Modi, the suspended IPL Chairman and Commissioner, against the BCCI against allegations during the irregularities during the IPL, has been rejected by the Bombay High Court. The court was not in the favour of Modi, as it stated that the disciplinary committee can resolve and decide during the meeting which would be held tomorrow.
But according to Modi, he wants people from an independent committee, not the members of the BCCI, it would turn out to be unbiased. He had been sacked with three showcase notices, and he has replied to all the three notice to the BCCI. Justice, B.H. Marlapalle and Roshan Dalvi, has placed that Modi can challenge the findings by the committee, and also can raise the issue of the legality of committee.
Modi’s main case was against the BCCI, as they have accused him and the cricketing body had suspended him and he is also asking for the disciplinary actions that have been taken against him. The suspension order came on him on the 25th of April, and then was slapped with three notice on the 26th April, 6th May and the 31st May.
