George Grizzard Dies of Lung Cancer in New YorkGeorge Grizzard, an actor with a 50years career in television shows and on Broadway, died at the age of 79 in New York, because of lung cancer complications said his partner, William Tynan, his only survivor. He won a Tony Award in 1996 as an actor in “A delicate balance” by Edward Albee, acted in “Law & Order” on TV and in 1980 won an Emmy with Henry Fonda for “The oldest living graduate”.

Lots of people will miss Mr. Grizzard so why not remember it as we should?

“I was an only child, and probably very lonely,” he said in a 1985 interview with The Times, “so I made up children to play with — Gene and Bounds and Mrs. Pig and Mrs. Hog and their children and a town called Scottina. It was all a child’s fantasy, but I guess that just kind of developed into wanting to create people.” - New York Times
