Sylvester Stallone charged for using human growth hormones
March 13th, 2007
In what he called a “misunderstanding” Sylvester Stallone was charged with bringing a banned substance into Australia. Lawyers for Stallone represented him on charges of trying to bring 48 vials of the human growth hormone product Jintropin.
On February 16, 2007, after declaring that he was not bringing in any restricted or prohibited goods “such as medicines, steroids, firearms, weapons, or any kind of illicit drugs” a subsequent X-rays of bags among his entourage prompted a search that revealed the growth hormone vials.
Stallone faces a maximum fine of $86,000 and 5 years in prison, however, he is unlikely to get the max. He and his group were allowed to leave Australia and he was not required to attend the hearing on Tuesday. Stallone was in Australia for the Sydney premier of his latest movie, “Rocky Balboa”. Seriously now, why in the world would a 60year old guy use HGH? Guess he has special needs.
