Frank Shamrock has officially retired from the MMA on the 26th June this year. He announced his retirement at the bout of Fedor vs Werdum on Tuesday. Frank had announced about his departure from the MMA on Saturday before the bout at the HP Pavilion, San Jose, California.
He gave an emotional farewell announcement, stating that he has come to an age where he feels that it is his time to retire now, and he pointed out to fighters like, Gilbert Melendez and Cristiane Cyborg, that these are the men who are the future stars of MMA.
Shamrock was born on the 8th of December 1972, and now has retired from the MMA as a four time defending undefeated champion. Other than winning titles in the MMA, his has made his name outside the ring of MMA, such as he has been the King of Pancrase, WEC Light weight champion and Strike Force Middle weight champion. He has also earned the title of the best fighter of the decade too.
